Be alert for bear attractants during “peak week”

This is the week when the most complaints about bears come in to the BC Conservation Officer Service The BC Conservation Officer Service is calling this week “peak week” because it’s when the organization typically gets the most bear complaints.



Salmon Come Home – October 23rd

Although there should be salmon visible in Hoy Creek, we’ll ensure you see some fish up close in our large Capilano trough at the hatchery. Hosted by Hoy-Scott Watershed Society and the City of Coquitlam, SALMON COME HOME is environmentally-themed and designed to promote public awareness about conservation and spawning salmon that migrate back to Coquitlam.
