Kick for a Cure is an awesome all day event in Coquitlam, BC. Soccer tournaments, kids soccer clinics, Canadian Tire Family Fun Zone, prizes, beer garden, food vendors, sports celebrities, and all day entertainment including live bands. Proceeds from the Kick For A Cure benefit the Michael Cuccione Childhood Cancer Research Program at BC Children’s Hospital. This event was held July 23rd 2016 and definitely helped kick childhood cancer where it hurts raising over $170,000!

Lost Lake summer day Photos from Friends of Mundy Park

Hoy / Scott Creek Watershed Society – Every summer we clean a section of either Hoy Creek or Scott Creek. Today we spent 4 hours instream in Hoy clearing out garbage downstream from Pinewood Street to just past Guildford. It was a good time to also assess heavy invasive species areas and check for any potential blockages for returning salmon this fall.
