Ron McKinnon MP:  This past Wednesday I had the pleasure of meeting with Port Moody`s mayor Mike Clay and the police chief to talk about my Good Samaratin Drug Overdose Act, and tonight I will discuss with Port Coquitlam`s safety committee about this bill.

Proud to be alongside colleagues announcing Phase 1 of the Government of Canada’s $120 billion infrastructure plan. $3.4 billion of this funding is being allocated to the Public Transit Infrastructure Fund to help provinces, territories and municipalities maintain safe, efficient, reliable, and accessible transportation networks.

TC News:  SD43 audit shows improvement needed – More than $100,000 will have to be paid back to the province, but SD43 told it does a good job handling files of special needs students overall

PoCo Rotary:  We were pleased and honoured to attend the presentation of the Amanda Todd Legacy Awards at Douglas College on Wednesday, along with reps from the other Rotary Clubs in the Tri-Cities. These students have participated in the Child & Youth Program there. The award commemorates the legacy of Amanda Todd in a program that trains students to work with children and youth.

PoCo Soccer:   POCO EFC OFFERING BOTH ADULT BEGINNER AND ADULT INTERMEDIATE SOCCER INSTRUCTION AT GATES PARK: Our local soccer club is extending programs to introduce adults into, or back into, the sport with “Learn to Play” and “Soccer Skills Training.”

April 16th:  Pacific All Canadian Pageants – The All-Canadian pageant system gives every contestant boy or girl a chance to shine on stage. The idea is to come out for fun meet friends, while increasing your confidence and developing an outgoing personality.


April 17th:  Westwood Cycle invites you to Ride with Jens Voigt. He is a German former professional road bicycle racer for several teams, the last one being UCI ProTeam Trek–Segafredo. Voigt wore the yellow jersey of the Tour de France twice!
