PoCo City:  May Day Festival Kicks Off April 29 – The fun starts on April 29 at the Port Coquitlam Recreation Complex with the evening opening ceremonies, featuring this year’s Royal Party and traditional May Pole dancing by school children. Events continue throughout the week, culminating in the full weekend of activities on May 7 and 8, including the annual Rotary May Day Parade, Block Party at Leigh Square on May 7 and the Mother’s Day picnic from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lion’s Park on May 8.

After playing guitar in an assortment of musical groups ranging from ragga to hard rock, Aaron, now a proud and devoted father, spends his time sailing through the acoustic influences of years past occasionally mixing up some of his own modern creations.

April 24th: Join United Way Avenues of Change for our next community clean up at Wellington Park and bring your neigbours!

April 24th:  VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Invasive Plant Removal at Colony Farm Park. The focus will be on removing blackberry from the sheep paddock area. Tools will be provided but wear work gloves, waterproof boots and something to protect your arms such as a light jacket. This event will also provide a rare opportunity to explore naturalized habitat in the former “sheep paddocks”. We will assemble in the first parking lot immediately after crossing the railway tracks on Colony Farm Road. From 9am – noon.

May 1st:  On Sunday, gather your friends, family, children, community members, work colleagues, neighbors – we invite everyone to participate in the Investor’s Group 10th Annual Walk for Alzheimer’s.

May 1st:  “Come Hike for Hospice May 1st to raise money for Crossroads Hospice it’s a nice family walk too!” These grade 5 kids at Ecole Kilmer Elementary School really are talented, and like in the picture, don’t forget your water.
