News

Blakeburn Healing Garden Committee:  I am posting the article that talks about having a public consultation meeting on landscaping at the Blakeburn Lagoon. It is at the very bottom. If you have time please email Mayor Moore at mooreg@portcoquitlam.ca to remind him of their promise….

PoCo Minor Baseball:  Registration for PCMBA baseball closed last week and Coordinators have been busy reviewing the registrants and placing kids on teams. We always do our best to fulfill special requests as well. If you haven’t heard from your Coordinator or Coach yet, you should soon. With Spring Break in full swing, some people might be away. Now that registration is closed, we can start to finalize teams. See important dates at link.

Bea’s Kloset:  Thanks to Isabella, a student volunteer, for helping us sort through our donations this Saturday!

St Catherine’s Anglican Church:  Another fabulous Seder at St Catherine’s led by Rabbi David Mivasair. This year the Hagaddah focused us on current, local social justice issues. Pictured with David is One of our special guests Dr Saad Bahr from the local PoCo Masjid Alhidaya. We shared stories “tikkun olam” – Refugees, Domestic violence, Children for Peace and Truth and Reconciliation Commission action. A big thank you to our guest speakers – Pat, Krista, Dr Saad and Melanie Delva (virtual Kat talk in her absence) and huge thanks to all who helped prepare food, set up the space and cleaned up afterwards.
